Multiple Retailer Supply Chain
From SystemsWiki
In this model we use the language of Systems Thinking to represent the fundamental structure of a supplier/retailer chain. Stocks and flows help capture the underlying physics of how product accumulates and moves through the system.
The resulting dynamics from this simple model are realistic given those dynamics of overshoot and undershoot of inventory experienced by most in the retail industry. This simple model can be further disaggregated to represent a system with more detail (different steps in the shipping process, for example) with relative ease.
