So, if it's so easy, why doesn't it seem to work? Welcome to the wold of "quick fix" mentality, which almost always ensures you won't get what you want, though it seems too easy to pass up!
The above structure is a gross oversimplification of reality, an oversimplification to the extent that it doesn't portray the elements necessary to understand the structure that's operating. And, if the structure isn't understood, then it's not likely the action intended to deal with the structure is going to have the desired effect. So let's elaborate the structure a bit.
